"Amazingly creative dishes, lovingly prepared, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour"
"Spectacular food, presentation and hospitality"
Mamta's fascination and passion for food started early. Born to a family of physicians in Southern Africa, a healthy lifestyle and nutritious food was central to family life, with the entertaining of relatives and guests a daily occurrence. "Seeing the end product was like watching a magic show and I couldn’t wait to start creating my own magic."
She went on to study sciences, but cooking and recipe creation were her true passions. She describes herself as an artist at heart: "The kitchen is my 'studio', plates are my 'canvas' and I cook because it allows me to express my passion not just for creative food but to connect with people."
Her dishes are plant-based with a focus on nutrition without compromising on creativity or taste. Her set menus takes guests on a delicious culinary journey of flavor combinations, textures and ingredients.
"Food is beautiful and beautiful food is love, passion and creativity all mixed together"

WOW, is what I have to say about this restaurant. What a superb find in Tokyo for vegetarian, vegan food.
The chef and hostess surprised us from start to finish. The menu was gorgeously written to start with, and the table setting and environment of the restaurant was lovely, with great artwork hanging on the walls. Every meal was fantastic and always delivered on such elegant and perfectly chosen tableware. There were 6 of us dining for a work occasions, with 3 who had never experienced this type of cooking before (one was an avid meat eater) and they all had their minds blown away.
It was rather a lot of food, being an 8 course tasting menu but there were never any leftovers. The imagination that has gone into this food is extraordinary and is the product you end up with.
A must do visit.
This place is nothing short of perfect! Set in a quiet residential kind of area, make sure you have Google directions so you can find it as easily as we did (so, no excuses!). We went there on a Friday night and had the best multi-course vegetarian meal, possibly ever! Yes, it's expensive but oh so worth it!
The food was fantastic. My partner loved the soup (1st dish) and I loved the black quinoa and parmesan dish (which was about the 5th or 6th out of 8).
The venue appears to be a non-smoking place, a massive plus! The seating is comfortable, well-presented and with an intimate atmosphere. The staff were lovely (they speak English) and made the whole experience just magical. The owner was saying she had only more recently opened the place having been a catering business before and was trying to make more of an awareness of vegetarianism in Japan. Help her achieve this goal, you won't regret it!
Thank you for a truly wonderful night, Tudore Tranquility!
